Giorgos Triantafyllou


Born in Athens in 1951, he attended the Varvakios School and studied Architecture in Thessaloniki. - where he continued his postgraduate studies in Urban Desing.  After a decade of accumulating experience in major architectural practices, he founds his own firm "Giorgos Triantafyllou and Partners" in 1981. His work focuses on interiors, restorations, large scale complexes and the enhancement of archaeological sites.

He has received distinctions in architectural competitions and his work, articles and scientific papers have been published at home and abroad. He has delivered lectures and participated in technical committees.

He is systematically active in planning, organizing and supervising exhibitions on architecture, photography, cinematography and visual events at home and abroad.

In this context he collaborated with the artist Costas Tsoklis and in the summer of 2006 they realized together a large scale visual intervention in Monastiria, Tinos Island, with the participation of the composer Nikos Xydakis. The fruit of this collaboration has been the photographic album Reflections.

For decades photography has provided him with a much-needed release from the stifling routine of his professional work. His photographs have been published in the daily and periodical press, in books and exhibition catalogues.
